Christmas Activities in the Berkshires

Beyond this weekend's caroling festival in Lenox, there are many activities to help get you in the Christmas spirit. This morning we woke up to a few inches of accumulation giving the Berkshires a fresh coat of charm. What better way to rev up for the holidays than walking the quaint streets of New England downtowns laced with snow, twinkeling lights, decorated storefronts and restaurants. For newcomers to the area we recommend strolling down the streets of Lenox, Stockbridge and Great Barrington.
This past weekend December 3&4th was the annual celebration of Main St. at Christmas in Stockbridge where the Stockbridge Chamber and participating businesses re-create the famous Norman Rockwell painting set in our neighboring town of Stockbridge. Although this event has past the new fallen snow might simulate the experience of stepping into the painting even better this weekend.
