This week I'd like to share some of my favorite things to do when it comes to exercise. There are plenty of different places in the Berkshires to take dance and fitness classes, along with hiking guides to take you out on the trails.

Hotel Lenox Berkshires MA Lodging

One of the most popular classes to take is ZUMBA, which involves dance and aerobic movement along with fun elements of hip-hop, salsa, and martial arts. ZUMBA is fun for all ages, can be very fun to do with family and friends, and luckily there are a few places in the Berkshires that offers this class. You can head to North Adams which offers classes at Church Street Center (Corner of Church & Porter St, N Adams) , or even closer to The Yankee Inn is Lenox Fitness Center right down the street from us. Both places are very affordable and if you choose to go to Lenox Fitness Center, they also offer a full gym, spa services, and tanning!

Another great place to go for dance classes is Berkshire Pulse located in Housatonic, which is just about a 25 minute drive from Lenox. The studio offers a bunch of dance workshops such as latin dance, scottish, ballet, flamenco, tap, belly dancing, modern, yoga, tai chi, and stretching. You can experience all of these classes for a low one time cost, no membership needed!

Besides going to dance classes and gyms, hiking is the best outdoor workout and in this area you cannot go wrong! There are plenty of mountains and trails around such as Kennedy Park, October Mountain, Monument Mountain, and Pittsfield's State Forest.

If you are looking for a guide I would highly recommend Berkshire County Fitness, they offer personal training and guided outdoor sports such as hiking, biking, X-C skiing, snow shoeing and yoga. If you want to visit a place with lots of energetic things to do, indoor or outdoor then come visit us here!
