Well, here I sit, working that ever familiar 3-11 shift, everyone is checked in, the Bruins game is over. It may not surprise you that sitting at the front desk for an eight hour shift can get a little lonely. For me the easiest way to occupy that boredom is to hang out in the lounge with guests. If you’re a fan of the Boston Bruins, I would highly enjoy talking stats or my thoughts on the recent trades, while we cheer on the defending Stanley Cup Champions on the big screen TV. If you aren’t a Bruins fan, say, a Rangers fan, or a dreaded Montreal Canadiens fan, I would enjoy arguing with a good rival about the game too.
You might be thinking “this kid is just a hockey nut” well, you’re right, but if you want to change the channel, or turn the TV off, feel free. I still enjoy discussing whatever comes to mind.Weekends are a great time to hang out in the bar/lounge. Often the best conversations arise when Lucille, our bartender is here. Those discussions can and often include stances of various politicians. The lounge works great for other jobs as well. If you need to have a meeting, or a room to do some work in, or a place to escape the wrath of your parents and play on your handheld gaming devices, the lounge is a perfect place, especially during the day, and on weekday nights. It’s very quiet during those times, and I feel serves a great purpose. So after you settle in to the hotel, take a quick dip in the pool, then come visit the lounge. We’ll be here to greet you.
