Frozen Four

March has a very good reputation. It’s the beginning of spring; Basketball’s March Madness attracts sports fans from all over, but on April 2nd, the college basketball season is over. However, winter sports fans don’t have to pack it all away, there’s still one more sport to watch. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the NCAA Frozen Four, Ice hockey’s championship bracket. The four teams have already been decided, and it looks to be a promising few games. Union College is making their first appearance in the Frozen Four, after beating out Umass Lowell. They will play Ferris State University in the semi-finals and the winner of that game will go on to face the winner of the Boston College, Minnesota game. Boston College has won the tournament 4 times, and is looking to catch their rival Boston University’s 5 championship wins. The games are being held in Tampa Florida this year, with the Semifinal games on April 5th and the Championship on the 7th.

If you’re at the Yankee on those nights, which I usually work the nights, head down to the lounge and help me cheer against BC or for Union on the 5th, and on the 7th, depending on who makes the championship game. And if by some chance you are a BC fan, I can’t see why anyone would be, then I will enjoy a good rivalry.
