Whether or not you are coming to stay with us at the Yankee Inn, learning about places to camp in the Berkshires is always good information! Bonny Rigg Campground located in Becket, Mass is a family oriented place in the center of beautiful Berkshire Mountains.
Open year round for all four of our seasons, the area is known for the pristine lakes and streams in summer, renowned fall foliage in autumn, snowmobiling and skiing in the winter, and of course great hiking and fishing in the spring.
Bonny Rigg is a great place to do your standard camping or they offer fun things to do on holidays and special event days, like Memorial Day weekend. Saturday May 27th-28th, starting at 10 am there is an entire list of activities to do, such as races, ice cream socials, hayrides, scavenger hunts, horseshoes, and of course a ATV and golf cart parade.
There are so many fun things to do while camping or visiting the area. Of course there are your main attractions like Jacobs Pillow, or Tanglewood, but if you are looking for a family get away in the woods then this seems like the best spot around.
There are plenty of great facilities on site at Bonny Rigg to make camping even more fun in the Berkshires; Cookouts, Sunday breakfasts, Volley ball, Kid’s Pond, Wooded and Open Sites, Pavilion, Swimming Pool, Playground, Basketball, Snowmobile Trails, Horseshoe Pits, etc.
Camping is a great way to experience the Berkshires and all that our woods, mountains, ponds and such have to offer, it is also a great way to bond with family and friends, clear minds of technology for a while and get some peace and quiet for once!
So whether you are looking to go camping for a day or an entire season I would recommend the Bonny Rigg for sure. To receive additional information about trailer rentals, or nightly tent camping rates take a few moments and visit their website at, http://www.bonnyriggcampground.com .
