I often get asked where a good place to get some food is and also where to see some good live entertainment. I like to kill two birds with one stone and I send the guests to one of my favorite places which is Flavours on North Street in Pittsfield.
Flavours specializes in Malaysian cuisine and has the best pad Thai that I’ve ever had. I’m definitely not the only person that can attest to the quality of their pad Thai. If you’re not a fan of Malaysian or any other style of Asian cuisine they do have a “Flavours of the West” section of their menu that offers salads, steaks, salmon, pork chops and more. There’s plenty of variety for everyone.
Let’s not forget their beer selection which, of course, is of great importance. Flavours offers a great variety of Berkshire Brewing Company (BBC) beer on tap. My personal favorite is the Shabadoo which is BBC’s version of a black and tan. They also have a Steel Rail which is a great pale ale, Lost Sailor India Pale Ale and a porter. Any beer fan will find a selection they like. They also offer a fully stocked liquor selection and a wide variety of bottled beers.
The entertainment is always top notch on the weekends and the style varies. I’ve seen everything from jazz-funk bands to Americana to straight boogie rock n roll bands. If you’re curious to see who’s playing it’s in your best interest to call and see what’s playing that night. Entertainment starts at 10 on Friday and Saturday.
So when you’re staying with us at the Yankee Inn make a reservation at Flavours. They’re the number 1 rated restaurant in Pittsfield on Tripadvisor. Go check them out. After a delicious dinner and an evening filled with good entertainment, you’ll understand why they’re so deserving of their top ranking.
