The Gifted Child started in a pushcart in the West Stockbridge marketplace on Memorial Day weekend in 1981. In the fall of that year they moved to downtown Lenox. They have been in Lenox ever since. In 1994, they expanded and opened another store in Great Barrington. They carry a wide variety of toys, games, puzzles, and personalized gifts. A great thing about this store is they offer a personal shopping service. Call or email them the basic information such as the child’s age and gender, price range, messages, occasion and any special requests. They will choose something appropriate, wrap, ship and enclose your gift message. The best part is that this service is absolutely free!
